Anytime I go anywhere, I take the opportunity to thrift if I can. This time, visiting family in Seattle for Thanksgiving, I hit a few city thrift stores as well as rural, and came away with quite the thrift haul. Thankfully we flew Southwest, so checking a bag back to Denver full of thrifted treasures didn't cost a cent.
Where is the best thrifting in Seattle, you ask? Read on to see our thrift finds!
Seattle (Capitol Hill): Out of the Closet, 1016 E Pike St, Seattle, WA 98122
We had to dig a bit, but found some super sick psychedelic t-shirts and 1960s scooter dresses that are just outrageously short.
Issaquah: Value Village, 5530 E Lake Sammamish Pkwy SE, Issaquah, WA 98029
Part of the Savers family (my absolute favorite thrift store chain), we found some sweet wool fisherman sweaters, classic Pendleton plaid flannels, and a whole bunch of vintage kids' books.
Maple Valley: Goodwill, 27077 MapleValley-Black Diamond Rd SE, Maple Valley, WA 98038
Stumbled by accident across Goodwill's 50% off everything sale and came away with quite possibly the best one-time thrift haul I've ever had. Again had to dig a bit, but since it was rural, it was not picked over in the slightest. Found some great princess cut fur coats, cable knit sweaters, vintage Coach handbags, tons of great Pyrex and vintage camping gear.
